Stingley - Ora Lucas Munns

Waynetown -- Mrs. Ora Munns Stingley, 94, who had lived in this community nearly all of her life, died Wednesday about 5:20 a.m. in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since suffering a stroke in June. She had been in failing health for 3 1/2 years. She had live din Waynetown area since she was 4 years old except a year in which she resided in California. She was born Feb 23, 1873 at Steam Corner in Fountain County to William Henry and Olive Augusta Wertz Lucas. He married John Henry Munns on Oct 7, 1891. He died Sept 26, 1932. On November 20, 1937, she married Leroy Stingley. He died Oct 27, 1952. Mrs. Stinley was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church, the Flower Lovers Club and was a past matron of the OES Chapter 435 in Waynetown. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Orville C. Miller of Urbana Ill and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Earl Taylor of Lafayette and Mrs. John Roudebush of Stockwell. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mabel and brother, Francis marion. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Morris Finch of the Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 pm. Thursday.
